Taylor began to record ASMR using her phone and then uploading the videos on YouTube. After achieving 50,000 subscribers approximately 1 1/2 months after the upload of her first video she appeared in a game video made created by PewDiePie. Taylor stopped creating videos at around 2 months when she had around 100 000 followers. She put all her videos on YouTube to avoid technical difficulties with the new technology. After a month long break and a few months of making new videos, she started again, including the very famous ASMR 10 Triggers to Help You Sleep (35 million views as of the month of August, 2022). ASMR 10 Triggers To Help You Sleep was the second video she released in July 2017that was watched 38 million times since August 2022. In August 2017, she was interviewed for a Shane Dawson's video and shortly thereafter, hit a million YouTube viewers. Wired UK, in its February 2019 issue, reported her earnings at $1,000 per month from her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer was a Canada-based farmer, and Elaine Helfer, a Canadian woman are her parents. [2] She is of German, English, Swedish and Norwegian origin. She was educated at the William E. Hay Composite High School located in Stettler located in Alberta. Her sisters Tammy, Tara, and Trena were also employed by her on the grain farm. When she was 17, Helfer's modeling agency agent spotted her while in line waiting at the theater.
